I look forward to meeting you!
Entering therapy may feel scary, but it can be a very rewarding and empowering experience. I love helping you identify the support and changes you are seeking. I'll share a broad range of tools to help you move forward. Your challenges are unique and we will discover what works best for you.
Our relationship is central to the process.
Indeed, research affirms that healing experiences which take place in the context of a secure relationship help 'rewire' the brain and produce lasting changes.
Come ready to explore, learn, deeply reflect, and grow in a supportive, nonjudgmental setting. If you find yourself lacking energy and motivation to help yourself, or you fear the potential pain and uncertainty of making changes, I will support you in moving through these stuck places. Some old trauma and 'raw spots' may take time to work with and heal - we will find a pace that feels right for you.
I firmly believe we all have the inner resources and wisdom to
heal, transform, and live with vitality.
It's my pleasure to help others heal their broken places and discover their confidence and zest for life. I believe one of the best ways I can help you is by committing to my own growth and transformation. A daily practice of yoga and meditation helps me stay on an even keel and navigate life's challenges. I am a lifelong learner studying the most recent findings in neurobiology and psychotherapy. I am also a former board member of Austin IN Connection and I continue to lead their Year of Conversations Committee which shares monthly experiential healing approaches with therapists and other helping professionals in our community.
I have personally experienced the power of mind / body approaches to: activate my body's relaxation response and feel calmer; help me work with and learn from my powerful emotions; and help me access my inner wisdom. I look forward to supporting you.
